FreeFrog’s Motos/Motorcycles
I'm a very avid motorcyclist who has ridden off and on since the early 1980's. I learned on a silver 1982 Honda GL500 -- all I remember is that crazy Moto Guzzi-style v-twin engine -- then I moved over to a 1983 Yamaha 550 Vision. That was a long time ago and sadly I have NO photos of that period. Over the years I've been a motorcycle messenger, commuter, tourer, knee dragger, etc., and like riding rain or shine and even enjoy a bit of dirt and gravel riding too. I truly prefer two wheels to four...it's a passion.

My current bike is a 2005 Yamaha FZ1 naked sportbike; it's a MONSTER with it's 1000cc R1-based engine, but ergos that let me ride it all day long. I've added a Scorpion slip-on, Pazzo levers, Puig windscreen, LSL framesliders, and a Powerbronze bellypan, along with some performance mods.

My previous bike was an awesome 2004 Suzuki V-Strom 650 adventure bike; had the economy not tanked I would have kept it, but finances dictated I retain just one bike. I do miss my adventure bike, but about 80%-90% of my riding is on pavement, so the streetbike won out. In truth, while I love the top-end of a four cylinder, I really think a twin or triple is better suited for street use; for now however I'm greatly enjoying my FZ1 and its overkill engine.

My wife Renee rides a 2003 Suzuki Volusia 800. Along with some Cobra pipes and National Switchblade windscreen, it has some other performance mods that make it pretty fast for an 800cc cruiser, but not much for handling. Despite her loving it, she's now thinking about getting a Kawasaki Versys 650.
